Easy management of eye redness

A couple of days back a girl of 8, years suffering from redness of eye came to consult me.
She came from school in the afternoon and woke up with redness in one eye and was not able to open the eye due to the formation of rheum.

Management
Advised them to take 30 seeds of coriander (Dhanyaka in Sanskrit). Tie it in a small cloth (kizhi like), immerse it in 200 ml of water and boil. The water turns golden yellow. Wait for it to cool and add a teaspoon of honey to it.

Take the tied cloth, dip in the decoction and squeeze into both eyes of the child. Do this till the decoction gets over. It will take about 10 minutes.

Result
The child woke up in the morning with clear eyes.

Note
This has been tried and tested for centuries. You can also make it by directly dropping the seeds in the water and boiling it. But filtering it before pouring in the eyes is a task. So I've made it easier by tying it in a cloth.

add a bit of turmeric while boiling (rest of procedures same) which can prevent further infection and spreading.
